Acting preparation workshop designed for children with any type of disability and/or condition.
Aimed at children with disabilities or a medical condition who wish to explore the world of acting and acquire skills for independent living.

Duration: 50 hrs
Methodology: 2 weeks from Monday to Friday
Schedules: 9 am to 2 pm

  • Have any type of disability and/or condition
  • Interest in acting and casting

What you will learn

By participating in this in-person acting workshop for girls and boys, you will be able to:

  • Acquire basic acting and casting preparation tools.
  • Have a first approach to working in front of the camera, with classes taught by teachers from Niños Actores Studio, a school directed by the renowned teacher Margarita Mandoki.
  • Be part of a creative community and develop meaningful bonds in an environment of respect and belonging.
  • Receive functional tools that promote the development of independent living, especially designed for children with disabilities.
  • Participate in a staging as a final project, where they will be able to apply everything they have learned during the workshop.

Margarita Mandoki

Theater director, teacher, casting director and acting coach

Director, playwright and trainer with an outstanding career in acting work for children and young people. She studied Dramatic Literature and Theater at UNAM, and has specialized in pantomime techniques, body expression and acting with international teachers.

She is the founder and director of Niños Actores Studio, a school with more than 20 years dedicated to the acting training of children and young people. She has taught at institutions such as the UNAM’s CUT, the Universidad Veracruzana and Televisa’s CEA Infantil, where she collaborated for 28 years.

As a children’s acting coach, she has worked in more than 20 film and television productions such as Voces Inocentes, Totem, Roma and Papás por encargo, among others. She has also cast numerous national and international projects.

In addition, he has written and directed several plays, and was a jury member of FONCA in projects for children and youth. His work has focused on developing scenic tools from an artistic, educational and humanistic approach.

Daniel Damuzi

Actor, director, screenwriter and teacher

He began his training at the Centro de Arte Dramático (CADA), where he also began his career as a teacher. Throughout his career, he has explored various acting methods until specializing in the character creation method of Antonio González Caballero.

In 2011 he was awarded a scholarship by the Stella Adler Conservatory in Los Angeles, where he trained until 2016. He has participated in more than 15 theatrical productions, combining his work as an actor, director, playwright and producer. In 2010 he received the Héctor Bonilla Male Revelation Award from the APT for his work in “Made in Shakespeare”.

In television he has been featured in series such as Oscuro Deseo, Narcos: México and Desenfrenadas, and in film he has participated in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Bardo and stars in El hijo de su padre, directed by Aarón Fernández.

Claudia Olivia

Actress and teacher

Mexican actress with more than 16 years of experience in theater, film and television. Graduated from the University of London and with a master’s degree in Learning, Cognition and Educational Development from the University of La Rioja. She has been recognized as Best Actress by the AMCI Film University in 2021, and has participated in international festivals such as FITU and the Medellin Festival. She has been teaching at Niños Actores Studio for 10 years, and is co-founder of Tapanco Teatro and Colectivo Fuerte y Claro A.C. She has more than 20 stage productions and multiple audiovisual projects. Her work is distinguished by an integral, humanistic and creative formation, as an actress, pedagogue and director.

Soledad Violeta

Screenwriter, filmmaker and teacher

Graduated as a filmmaker from the Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas (ENAC UNAM) and as a screenwriter from The London Film School. She has written and directed several short films, highlighting Puertas (2016), which was part of the Official Selection of the XVI Morelia Film Festival and won Best Short Film NeoMex at the 11th Shorts Mexico. He participated in the 10th Talents Guadalajara as a screenwriter.

Recipient of a grant from the Programa Jóvenes Creadores de la Secretaría de Cultura, through the Sistema de Apoyos a la Creación y Proyectos Culturales (SACPC), in the film script category (2021-2022).

Since 2017 she has been teaching film and acting classes at Niños Actores Studio. She has participated in several projects as an acting coach and has more than 15 years of experience in the audiovisual industry.
